Many DIY battery pack builders find it hard to source a suitable battery monitor. The TC169 is compatible with various battery types—whether in series or parallel configurations—and features a compact size with multi-parameter display, making it an excellent choice for DIY enthusiasts.
Compact Size
The TC169 uses a 1.69″ TFT color screen with crisp, clear visuals. Slightly larger than the TC147, its housing measures 58.4 × 40.4 × 9.6 mm, still compact enough for battery boxes or enclosures with limited mounting space.
Multiple Practical Functions

Special attention was given to low power consumption during development—lower than most color-screen monitors on the market. When the battery is neither charging nor discharging, the unit enters standby mode. Users can customize the standby brightness in the settings menu; setting it to 0% enables a blank (black) screen in standby to minimize drain.
It also features Full Capacity Voltage and Zero Capacity Voltage functions for partial auto-calibration: SOC automatically snaps to 100% when fully charged and to 0% when fully discharged. If noticeable battery capacity fade occurs over time, a manual re-calibration (updating the effective capacity in settings) is recommended.
Choosing the Right Specification
